SALON TERMS & CONDITIONS

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of One 100 Chicago salon and the services, appointments, products, memberships, packages, gift cards, website, and other services we provide.

By booking an appointment, visiting the Salon, purchasing a product or service, purchasing a membership or package, using our website or application, or otherwise using our services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms.

1. Appointments

Appointments may be scheduled through our website, by telephone, in person, or through other booking channels made available by the Salon.

When making an appointment, you agree to provide accurate and current information, including your name, telephone number, email address, and any other information reasonably required to provide the requested service.

The Salon may require a valid telephone number, email address to secure certain appointments.

Appointment times are reserved specifically for you. Arriving late may reduce the amount of time available for your service.

2. Appointment Confirmation

The Salon may send appointment confirmations and reminders by SMS and email.

You are responsible for reviewing your appointment details and notifying the Salon promptly if any information is incorrect.

Receiving an appointment reminder does not relieve you of responsibility for attending your scheduled appointment.

3. Cancellation and Rescheduling Policy

We understand that plans sometimes change. We ask that you provide at least 24 hours’ notice when canceling or rescheduling an appointment.

Appointments that are missed without notice (“no-shows”) may be subject to a no-show fee

The Salon reserves the right to establish additional cancellation requirements for certain services, including lengthy, specialty, or high-demand services.

4. Late Arrivals

Please arrive at least 10 minutes before your scheduled appointment when requested.

If you arrive late, the Salon will make reasonable efforts to provide the scheduled service. However, the service may need to be shortened, modified, or rescheduled in order to avoid substantially delaying other clients.

A shortened service may still be charged at the scheduled price where the reduction in service time results from the client’s late arrival.

5. Salon Delays

Occasionally, circumstances outside our control may cause a service to begin later than scheduled.

We will make reasonable efforts to notify you of significant delays and provide alternative options when appropriate.

6. Service Prices

Prices are subject to change without notice.

The price presented at the time of booking may be an estimate when the final price depends on factors such as hair length, product usage, service complexity, additional treatments, or stylist recommendations.

Any material additional charge should be communicated to the client before the additional service is performed whenever reasonably possible.

Applicable taxes and other legally required charges may be added to advertised prices.

7. Additional Services

If you request or authorize services beyond your original appointment, you agree to pay the applicable additional charges.

Salon employees may recommend additional services or products based on your stated goals, but recommendations do not obligate you to purchase them.

8. Consultations

Certain services may require a consultation before the service is performed.

The Salon may decline or postpone a service if, following consultation, the Salon determines that the requested service may not be reasonably performed under the circumstances or may present an unreasonable risk of damage or injury.

9. Client Information and Service History

We may maintain information relating to your appointments, services, preferences, products used, formulas, and other information necessary to manage your relationship with the Salon.

You are responsible for providing accurate information that may affect the safety or suitability of a service, including relevant allergies, sensitivities, previous treatments, medications, or other information you have been specifically asked to disclose.

10. Allergies and Sensitivities

Please notify the Salon before receiving a service if you have known allergies, sensitivities, skin conditions, or previous reactions to salon products or treatments.

A patch test or other preliminary test may be required for certain services.

The Salon may refuse or postpone a service when necessary to reduce a reasonably foreseeable risk of an adverse reaction.

11. Results and Client Expectations

Salon services involve professional judgment and individual results may vary.

Results may depend on factors including hair condition, previous chemical treatments, skin type, lifestyle, maintenance, product use, and other individual circumstances.

The Salon does not guarantee that a requested result can be achieved in a single appointment.

Where appropriate, your stylist or nail tech may recommend multiple appointments or maintenance services.

12. Service Adjustments and Corrections

If you are dissatisfied with a service, please contact the Salon within 2 days of the service.

The Salon may offer a complimentary adjustment or correction when the Salon determines that an adjustment is appropriate.

Correction services generally must be performed by the Salon and may be subject to reasonable limitations.

Refunds are not guaranteed solely because the client changes their mind after a service has been performed.

13. Refunds

Because salon services are performed personally and cannot generally be returned, completed services are generally non-refundable unless otherwise required by applicable law or expressly approved by the Salon.

Retail products may be eligible for return or exchange subject to the Salon’s return policy.

Deposits, prepaid services, memberships, packages, and gift cards may be subject to separate terms.

Nothing in this policy limits any rights that cannot legally be waived.

14. Retail Products

All retail products are subject to availability.

Product recommendations are provided for informational purposes and are based on information available to the Salon at the time of recommendation.

Clients should review product labels and follow manufacturer instructions.

The Salon is not responsible for adverse reactions resulting from improper use of a product.

15. Gift Cards

Gift cards may be purchased from the Salon through approved sales channels.

Gift cards:

  • May be used toward eligible Salon services and/or products.
  • May not be redeemed for cash.
  • May not be duplicated, altered, or reproduced.
  • May not be used for unauthorized purposes.
  • Are subject to applicable laws regarding expiration dates and fees.

Lost or stolen gift cards may be replaced only when the Salon can reasonably verify ownership and the remaining balance.

16. Memberships

Memberships may include recurring payments, discounted services, member pricing, credits, or other benefits as described at the time of enrollment.

Membership benefits are personal to the member unless otherwise stated.

Membership fees and benefits are subject to the specific membership agreement.

Members are responsible for maintaining a valid payment method where recurring billing applies.

Membership cancellation, renewal, expiration, and unused-credit policies will be disclosed during enrollment and may vary by membership plan.

17. Packages and Prepaid Services

Packages may contain multiple services or credits purchased in advance.

Package services may be subject to expiration dates, transfer restrictions, cancellation policies, and other conditions disclosed at purchase.

Unused package services may not be refundable unless required by applicable law or otherwise approved by the Salon.

18. Payments

Payment is due at the time services or products are purchased unless other payment arrangements have been expressly approved.

We accept the payment methods displayed by the Salon.

You authorize the Salon to charge the payment method you provide for amounts properly due under these Terms, including authorized services, products, applicable cancellation fees, no-show fees, and recurring membership charges where applicable.

The Salon may require a valid payment method to secure certain appointments.

19. Tips and Gratuities

Tips and gratuities are optional.

Tips may be paid using the payment methods accepted by the Salon.

20. Minors

Clients under the age of 16 may be required to have a parent or legal guardian provide consent before certain services are performed.

Certain services may have minimum-age requirements.

The Salon reserves the right to request identification or parental/guardian authorization where appropriate.

21. Children and Guests

For safety, comfort, and space considerations, the Salon may limit the number of guests accompanying a client.

Children must remain under appropriate adult supervision unless they are receiving a Salon service.

The Salon may establish additional guest policies for particular locations or services.

22. Customer Conduct

We are committed to maintaining a safe, respectful, and professional environment.

Clients are expected to treat employees, contractors, other clients, and Salon property respectfully.

The Salon does not tolerate:

  • Threatening or abusive behavior;
  • Harassment;
  • Discrimination;
  • Sexual harassment or inappropriate conduct;
  • Violence or threats of violence;
  • Intoxication that creates a safety concern;
  • Property damage;
  • Fraudulent payment activity; or
  • Other conduct that creates a safety or operational concern.

The Salon may refuse service or require a client to leave the premises when reasonably necessary to protect clients, employees, or property.

23. Personal Belongings

Clients are responsible for their personal belongings while visiting the Salon.

The Salon is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal property except where liability cannot legally be excluded.

24. Photographs and Marketing

The Salon may request permission to photograph completed work for portfolio, educational, advertising, website, or social-media purposes.

Client photographs will not be used for marketing purposes without appropriate consent where required by law.

You may decline permission to use your image.

25. Website and Online Services

Our website and online booking services are provided for appointment scheduling, information, communication, and other legitimate Salon-related purposes.

You agree not to:

  • Use the website for unlawful purposes;
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to systems or accounts;
  • Interfere with website operations;
  • Submit fraudulent information;
  • Impersonate another person; or
  • Use automated methods to abuse or disrupt the booking system.

We may temporarily suspend online services for maintenance, security, upgrades, or other operational reasons.

26. SMS and Electronic Communications

By voluntarily selecting the SMS consent option during appointment booking, you agree to receive appointment-related text messages from One 100 Chicago.

Messages may include appointment confirmations, reminders, cancellations, rescheduling notices, and waitlist notifications.

Message frequency varies according to your appointment activity. Message and data rates may apply.

You may withdraw your SMS consent at any time by replying STOP.

27. Privacy

The Salon may collect and use personal information necessary to operate the business, manage appointments, process payments, provide services, communicate with clients, and comply with legal obligations.

Our collection and use of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy.

By using our services, you acknowledge that you have had an opportunity to review the applicable Privacy Policy.

28. Third-Party Services

The Salon may use third-party providers for services such as:

  • Online appointment scheduling;
  • Payment processing;
  • SMS messaging;
  • Email delivery;
  • Website hosting; and
  • Other business operations.

Use of third-party services may be subject to the third party’s own terms and privacy policies.

29. Payment Disputes and Chargebacks

If you believe a charge is incorrect, please contact the Salon before initiating a payment dispute or chargeback whenever reasonably possible.

We will investigate legitimate billing concerns and attempt to resolve them promptly.

Nothing in this section limits rights provided by applicable law or payment-network rules.

30. Salon Right to Refuse Service

The Salon reserves the right to refuse or discontinue service when reasonably necessary for safety, legal compliance, professional considerations, staff protection, or other legitimate business reasons.

We will not refuse service for reasons prohibited by applicable law.

31. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Salon will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from the use of Salon services.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.

32. Force Majeure

The Salon will not be responsible for delays or inability to provide services caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including natural disasters, severe weather, utility interruptions, governmental actions, public emergencies, system failures, labor disruptions, or other extraordinary circumstances.

33. Changes to These Terms

The Salon may update these Terms from time to time.

The current version will be made available through the Salon’s website, application, or physical location as appropriate.

Changes will become effective on the effective date stated in the updated Terms.

34. Governing Law

These Terms will be governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where applicable law requires otherwise.

35. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is determined to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in effect to the fullest extent permitted by law.

36. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with any applicable service-specific policies, membership agreements, package terms, Privacy Policy, and other written agreements provided by the Salon, constitute the applicable agreement between you and the Salon concerning the services covered by those documents.
